Help us Help Others

About

The Charity Club was originally organized at the suggestion of Mrs. Ghossen of Houston, an American woman living in Beirut, Lebanon. Mrs. Ghossen was working as a volunteer in the outpatient department in the American University in Beirut Hospital.

The Ladies of Houston Charity was established in May of 1952, at the home of Mrs. Marie (Stevens) Mafrige.  The primary nature of this Club has always been for Charity. As long as a genuine need is established, the Club has always stood ready to help.

This charitable work is entirely volunteer driven and the sole objective of the Club is to help others.

We host a few events each year to raise money to achieve that goal. You can find out what our next event is by checking out our events page up above. We are proud of our past events, too, so you can find information on what events we've done in the past there as well.

"The sole objective of the Club is to help others.
As long as a genuine need is established,

the Club has always stood ready to help."
